OUR MISSION STATEMENT
COPA's function is to treat those people in our geographic area who have musculo-skeletal pain, injury, or deformity. We will do this with the following important additional aspects of care.

1. Our care is individualized and personalized to the needs of the patient.

2. Orthopedic illnesses and treatments impact on many areas of the patient's life ... work, recreation, personal economic activity, family life, activities of daily living. As part of personalization and individualization of treatment, we will try to be cognizant of the entire patient, including the needs in these many areas.

3. We will provide care in a comfortable and attractive environment, recognizing that our patients are often uncomfortable, with pain and stress.

4. The COPA office staff will be pleasant and helpful to patients and to referring physicians. Within the limits of a practice that deals with many emergencies, we will all try to be respectful of the patient's time and convenience.

5. All patient matters are handled with appropriate confidentiality.

6. Referring physicians will be routinely informed of the progress of their patients. We are part of the Primary Physician's team, working together to help the patient.

7. We recognize the needs of the many different types of insurance and insurers. We will try to be of assistance to our patients in their dealings with their insurance carriers.

8. Referral will be given for care beyond the scope of our physicians practice, or beyond the facilities available to care for our patients. We will help patients through the referral process, and try to be helpful to the physician receiving the referred patient.
